Welcome to the 5th entry in our Skin Tips series. We have covered a few topics prior to this but today we will focus on the magic of exfoliation!
We are unabashed fans of scrubs here at Rose’s and there’s a good reason for it. They work. Winter is brutal on our skin as we transition between dry cold air (cold air doesn’t hold as much moisture as warm air) and dry warm air (most heating systems take any moisture out of the air). This means that our skin is much more likely to dry up and soon our legs look like the Salar De Uyuni (a gorgeous place by the way). If we use a scrub when we shower, we are taking off this top layer of dry scaly skin and allowing much healthier smooth skin underneath it to show. The fresh layer of skin revealed by our recent scrub is much better at receiving and holding onto moisture, thus making moisturizing that much more effective afterward. As an added bonus the newer skin is also softer to the touch and more pliable, never a bad thing.
